At work

With a desire to move into financial planning to assist clients in all areas of their finances; he moved to the South of France working as a paraplanner for a firm that looked after expats based in Europe.

On return to the UK, he held two paraplanning roles – one with a regional IFA firm and the second at one of the largest wealth managers in the UK.

He recently joined Depledge as a Trainee Financial Consultant and has now progressed into a financial planning consultant working with Andrew Day and the other advisers to service Depledge’s growing client base.

Edward is a chartered financial planner through the CII and he has recently embarked on the CFP qualification through the CISI, which is a level 7 master’s qualification. He hopes to have achieved this by the end of the year.

At home

Edward enjoys spending time with friends and family. He likes to keep fit through the gym and running, and is also a big rugby league fan.

The important stuff

All regulated financial advisers must be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and therefore appear on their register. You can find Eddy’s entry here.

Furthermore, all advisers must have an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing (SPS). This shows they are suitably qualified and have carried out the required amount of Continuous Professional Development (CPD). You should be wary of any advisers who refuse to provide copies of their SPS. You can click here to view Eddy’s.
